El Diwan Arabic Centre was established in 2019. It is an independent and charitable organisation which exists to meet the needs and promote the interest of all communities who have arrived or settled in the North East of England.

يهدف مركز الديوان العربي إلى زيادة فهم العالم العربي من خلال الترويج لثقافته ومشاركة معارفه ودعم مجتمع من الأفراد والمنظمات التي تعمل على تعزيز الصداقة والتعاون بين الناس في المملكة المتحدة والشرق الأوسط. تم تطوير مركز الديوان العربي من قبل السكان المحليين للدعوة إلى الرفاه الاجتماعي والاقتصادي وتحسين الصحة والنهوض بتعليم مجتمع الشرق الأوسط مع تعزيز وعي المجتمع داخل المجتمع الأوسع من خلال الاحتفال والترويج لجميع جوانب الشرق الأوسط التاريخ الشرقي واللغة والتراث الثقافي والهوية. يعمل الديوان على تحسين ظروف الحياة اليومية لشعوب الشرق الأوسط وتعزيز الاندماج الاجتماعي من خلال تسهيل اندماجهم ومشاركتهم المتساوية في المجتمع البريطاني من أجل تلبية الاحتياجات الفورية وطويلة الأجل.

El Diwan has been working to improve the everyday life condition of the all communities and to promote social inclusion by facilitating the integration and equal participation within British society with and for the immediate and long-term needs across the North East region, focusing at the most vulnerable stages of the journey to integration. El Diwan Arabic Centre is an independent, non-political, non-religious, charitable organisation which works to improve the British public’s understanding of the Arab world.
El Diwan Arabic Centre developed by local people to advocate the social and economic well-being, improve the health and advance the education of the community whilst strengthening the awareness of the community within wider society through the celebration and promotion of all aspects of Anglo-Arab history, language, cultural heritage and identity.
El Diwan Mission and Vision
El Diwan Arabic Centre aims to further understanding of the Arab world by promoting its culture, sharing its knowledge and supporting a community of individuals and organisations that work to enhance friendship and collaboration between people of the UK and the Middle East.
